GFDD is consisting of mainly with the General council and executive council. A 27 (twenty seven) member of Governing Council meets once in a year and they are responsible to govern the organization. The General members, associated members and life members elected the Governing Council (GC). The Governing Council (GC) is the highest policy making body of the organization. A nine (09) member Executive Council elected by the Governing Council (GC) looks after the total management of the operation and guide the Member Secretary and executive director to run the day-to-day Administration and Management. This Executive Council (EC) should meet once in a month. The Executive Council (EC) also needs to make plan of operation and prepare the Annual Budget accordingly. The Executive Director & Member Secretary looks after the day to day administration, advise and assist the Program Director and sub-ordinate staffs for effective implementation of all program and Project activities.
Governance : Policy making and governance body of the Organization and works independently. It formulates and approves policies and organizational systems and evaluates the overall performance of Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) on period basis. The Body consists of twenty seven members (both male and female) and is headed by its president. The Organization’s governing council comprises of development professionals, intellectuals, academicians, activists and media persons. The Executive Director of Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) serves the board as the member secretary and ex-officio member. The Board works in the guidelines of the Board Policies Manual. 


EXPERIENCE PORTFOLIO :
Experience in Gender & Women Empowerment Issues : Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) is engaged in promoting gender equality and addressing women empowerment issues since its inception in year 2002. The Organization’s first ever project (year 2003) focused the issues of violence against women (VAW) particularly the gender violence in garments industries. Over the period of 2 years of rich experience of working on women issues; the Organization has well increased its conceptual understanding and knowledge of the issues of marginalized women and the women vulnerable to domestic violence. During its work on gender issues; the Organization explored and worked with a number of critical stakeholders who could be of great support as for as addressing the issues of gender and women empowerment, particularly VAW is concerned. For example, the Organization closely worked with School Teachers and Media Representatives to increase awareness and sensitize the local communities and administration for addressing gender issues. Working with police officers was another successful approach the Organization successfully tested.

Experience in Education Sector: Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) has remained engaged in education sector since year 2015. The Organization has established a number of primary schools in different project areas and countries has also formed a number of parents’ education committees (PECs) and school management committees (SMCs). For the sustainability of the schools and its effective operations; Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) always uses the strategies such as the true community participation, public private partnerships and the formation and strengthening/capacity building of PECs & SMCs. Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) has established a total of about 56 primary schools in different countries. These schools have catered the primary education needs many children many countries. Many teachers are engaged in these schools to fulfill the educational needs of the primary students.

Experience in Responding Natural Disasters and climate change : Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) actively responds natural disasters and emergencies such as flood and earthquake etc. The Organization has been responding emergencies. During its engagement in various disaster response interventions; Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) has well skilled itself in designing and implementing the relief and early recovery interventions. GFDD has provided its various relief and early recovery services to about 5000 families.
       
Experience in Capacity Building : Building capacity of partners and different stake holders is the cross cutting theme for all GFDD core programs. Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) has been involved in capacity building activities. Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) has conducted a large number of training workshops, media representatives, community groups, government officers, and project teams of various projects. Over the period of 2 years, the Organization has greatly developed its capacity in designing and conducting different nature training and capacity building events for different groups and stakeholders.  The Organization now itself designs and conducts training which cater the capacity building needs of its different partners and clients. Following is the details of some of the projects / assignments related to capacity building and institutional development which Organization conducted during different periods for different groups.

Experience in Physical Infrastructure Development : The Organization has been intervening for the development of community physical infrastructure since year 2015. Global Fund for Disability and Development (GFDD) always tries to develop and improve the local physical infrastructure which can help improve the living conditions of the rural communities.
